My name is Debbie Hing and I started DH Reflexology & Wellbeing after completing and passing my ITEC level 3 Diploma in Reflexology with the Cotswold Academy in Cirencester in December 2018. As part of this I also studied and passed my Level 3 in Anatomy and Physiology in February 2018 also with the Cotswold Academy.
I have always been interested in Natural Health and Complementary Therapies and have tried and tested many treatments over the years, with Reflexology being one of my favourites. I like the idea that it complements any traditional medical treatment and treats the whole person rather than just one area and encourages the body to start to heal itself.
I myself have diagnosed medical conditions; Under Active Thyroid, Fibromyalgia and Osteoarthritis, so I understand the struggles that people with invisible illness have to face on a day to day basis and I believe that Holistic Therapies can support to leading a better quality of life.
I have worked with Children and Families from a variety of backgrounds for the past 25 years. During this time I have trained and have experience in a wide variety of topics such as Mental Health – anxiety & depression, Addictions – drug & alcohol, ADHD, Autism, Domestic Violence, Abuse and Criminal activity to name just a few.
I am particularly interested in Mental Health and I am a qualified Mental Health First Aider.
As a Reflexologist I take everyone as an individual and will tailor the treatment to best suit your needs. I will research about any illness or condition that you might have, and I will be honest and ask you about it if I do not know. I do not diagnose, prescribe or suggest that you use Holistic Therapies instead of medical interventions. Reflexology is designed to work perfectly well alongside any medical interventions that you currently have. If I feel that you need to seek medical assistance then I will discuss that with you.
I am happy to discuss with you about diet and healthy lifestyle choices, other remedies, lifestyle changes and Wellbeing and encourage you to do your own research as well, as knowledge allows you to make the appropriate choices for you.
I am First Aid qualified and I have an Enhanced DBS check.
I have full insurance for all of my treatments to be done in my clinic, home visits or any other venue.
I am ‘MAR’ - Member of the Association of Reflexologists (AOR).
I am also registered and comply with the ICO, to ensure that your confidential information is stored and used in the correct way.
I have a COVID secure practice and follow all of the Government and Governing Body guidelines and expectations.
I have also qualified to offer treatments in Thai Foot Massage, Indian Head Massage, RLD (Reflexology Lymph Drainage), Facial Reflexology and Auricular (Ear) Reflexology.
